Pay range: $175,000 - $225,000

About the Job
This role is an integral part of the Finance, Accounting and Leadership teams and is all about supporting Rain City’s strategic financial and operations growth. Here are some of the things you’ll be doing day-to-day in this role:
Roles and Responsibilities
Together with the CEO, the Executive and Leadership Teams, develop the strategy to ensure Rain City and its subsidiaries have the financial resources needed to achieve its current and future goals, while mitigating financial and operational risk.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key bank and financial partners including warehouse banks, Note Buyers, corporate insurance carriers, the Advisory Board, equity investors, and government agencies.
Provide and develop insight and recommendations to the organizations short-term and long-term growth plans.
Identify, design, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical capital markets data to banks, loan purchasers and securitization counterparties.
Negotiate and work directly with Rain City’s banks to optimize the borrowing base while reducing costs.
Select and engage loan investors, bank partners, financial consultants, securitization partners, due diligence providers, and equity investors.
Manage and optimize the loan securitization, including concentration limits, and borrowing base process.
Work with underwriting and capital partners to identify opportunities to increase origination with risk and outcomes in mind
Leads and oversees the loan sales team.
Design and implement controls and processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy of the loans sales process.
Design and implement processes to clear document exceptions and ensure timely delivery of final documents to note buyers and custodians, as applicable.
Review and or develop key company legal agreements, including company loan documents, subordination agreements private debt and guarantees agreements.
Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by executive and senior leadership team.
Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.

Skills and Attributes
10+ years of capital markets or secondary marketing experience, preferably in a lending environment (mortgage company or bank)
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in accounting or finance from an accredited institution
MBA Preferred
CMA Preferred
Asset-Based Lending experience – preferred
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence
Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Experience with sales, mergers and/or acquisitions
In depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to work well and maintain a positive attitude in a consistently fast-paced environment
Demonstrated high level proficiency in Excel
Able to work on a regular and ongoing basis in our Kirkland, WA location (remote work options temporarily available)

Rain City Capital offers a hybrid work environment, which means employees perform their duties remotely or in person and will be expected to check email, phone, and text messages throughout the day and respond in a timely fashion consistent with a normal company workday. This role must be willing to commute to our local office on a weekly basis, at a minimum of once per week, based on the needs of the position, the department, and the company workday.
