Open Position: IT Functional Analyst (Mortgage Lending Systems)

Pay range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually

You’re passionate about partnering with internal departments, helping them leverage the loan origination system (LOS), loan servicing system, and other integrated applications to their fullest potential. About the Job

Join our IT team at Rain City Capital where your primary role is to eliminate technology barriers, enabling seamless operations. This role combines industry knowledge, technical expertise, consultative, and project management skills to drive efficiency and support organizational growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

Consultation & Optimization:

  • Collaborate with departments to understand business needs and provide tailored recommendations for utilizing the LOS to enhance functionality and efficiency. Carve out time to spend 1:1 with individual contributors to optimize their workflows.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and configurations from the end user perspective in many areas.

Industry Best Practices:

  • Stay current with trends and best practices in the mortgage lending industry to inform process improvements.

  • Provide actionable insights and strategies to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.

Project Management & Implementation:

  • Scope, define, and document business requirements for new processes or system enhancements and present to IT to assist in development planning.

  • Lead testing and user acceptance efforts to ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver expected outcomes.

  • Oversee implementation, ensuring seamless integration and adoption across departments.

Training & Support:

  • Act as a resource for staff, providing training and support to maximize their use of software tools.

  • Foster a positive, solutions-oriented culture by promoting enthusiasm and innovation in leveraging technology.

  • Create & maintain updated documentation for many groups, including translating IT dev-speak into something useful and educational for the front-line staff.

  • Conduct and support training for new employees and other trainers. 

Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.

  • 3+ years of experience in an analysis, consulting, or supervisory role, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry.

  • Must have strong knowledge of loan origination and servicing systems and mortgage lending processes.

  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping teams succeed through technology.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with loan origination, mortgage doc creation, or mortgage servicing systems.

  • Experience as a loan origination system administrator.

  • Certification in business analysis (CBAP) or project management (PMP). Certification in Microsoft Dynamics suite / Office 365 suite.

Rain City Capital offers a hybrid work environment, which means employees perform their duties remotely or in person and will be expected to check email, phone, and text messages throughout the day and respond in a timely fashion consistent with a normal company workday. This role must be willing to commute to our local office on a weekly basis, at a minimum of once per week, based on the needs of the position, the department, and the company workday.
