Pay range: $29.00 – $33.50 / hour

You’re an experienced post closer with a proven track record of creative problem-solving, excellent multi-tasking and prioritization, and a focus on customer service. You have a few years of experience in mortgage post-closing and at least a solid knowledge/understanding of mortgage loan documents. See below for more details on preferred qualifications.

About the Job

This role is all about preparing mortgage loan documents required for closing or transfer, which will involve working closely and collaboratively with clients, real estate brokers, third-party service providers, and internal business partners. You’ll review loan level documentation for accuracy and data integrity and check loan conditions prior to funding short-term business-purpose mortgage loans for investors, all in a consistently fast-paced and variable environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving the original note and loan closing package from title.

  • Process collateral shipments to the warehouse banks.

  • Responsible for filing and maintaining loan closing packages on site and original note in the Fire King if not shipped same day.

  • Perform quality control review of loan closing packages for completeness and accuracy.

  • Work with internal and external partners to obtain corrections or missing documents.

  • Facilitate the re-signing of loan documents as necessary.

  • Work directly with the Valuation Desk to order post-closing evaluations and inspections; follow-up on outstanding orders and process final reports.

  • Responsible for following up with title for trailing docs: final title policy, final settlement statement, deed, and recording numbers.

  • Complete quality control review of trailing docs upon receipt; work with title to obtain any required corrections.

  • Perform periodic audits with bank custodians as needed.

  • Respond promptly to post closing questions from closing, accounting, servicing, loan sales, underwriting, and any other internal partners.

  • May assist Loan Portfolio Coordinators with the shipping of loan packages to note buyers.

  • May assist the funders by performing pre-funding loan document quality control reviews.

  • May assist the Recording Specialist with recording deeds to secure collateral.

Experience

  • 3+ years of previous mortgage post-closing experience.

Rain City Capital offers a hybrid work environment, which means employees perform their duties remotely or in person and will be expected to check email, phone, and text messages throughout the day and respond in a timely fashion consistent with a normal company workday. This role must be willing to commute to our local office on a weekly basis, at a minimum of once per week, based on the needs of the position, the department, and the company workday.
