Pay range: $150,000 - $180,000

About the Job

The Senior Vice President of Mortgage Servicing is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of mortgage servicing operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and superior customer service. The SVP will develop strategic initiatives, manage key stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement across all servicing functions. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for all mortgage servicing functions, including: loan onboarding and service releases, payment processing, customer service, accounting, note owner remittance & reporting, escrow management, tax and insurance monitoring, draw administration, collections, and special assets. 

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and servicing agreements. 

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement servicing strategies that align with Tandem Servicing and its parent company, Rain City Capital, LLC, organizational goals. 

  • Oversee the development and optimization of servicing processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and customer experience. 

  • Hire, manage, mentor, and develop servicing teams, fostering a high-performance culture. 

  • Handle escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong borrower relationships. 

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including note owners, regulatory bodies, and industry partners. 

  • Have a thorough understanding and be a knowledge resource on all Servicing Agreements. 

  • Collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, Capital Markets, and other departments to mitigate portfolio risk. 

  • Develop and provide regular reports to the executive team on status of portfolio, operational KPIs, and other relevant metrics. 

  • Oversee and actively manage internal and external audits including the annual SOC-1. 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for all servicing functions. 

  • Lead risk management initiatives, ensuring the identification and mitigation of potential servicing risks. 

  • Drive initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. 

  • Responsible for vendor selection and management. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the organization remains proactive and compliant. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support department and organizational objectives.  

Skills and Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in mortgage servicing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. 

  • Deep understanding of mortgage servicing operations, cash management/accounting, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. 

  • SOC-1 and USAP audit engagement experience preferred. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with executive leadership. 

  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives. 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong loan servicing accounting knowledge a plus. 

  • Ability to analyze complex data, develop insights, and implement effective solutions. 

  • Experience with servicing technology platforms and process optimization. 

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams. 

  • Proficient in financial and operational reporting. Advanced Excel or PowerBI skills a plus. 

  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
